Shea and I first met back in 2005. Whoa. That is a long time! We probably even knew each other before then because he and my sister were in the same grade. Well, over the years we experienced all kinds of things that friendships do. School dances, volunteering, moving away, relationships and now MARRIAGE. That’s right. Shea is getting married. When he first contacted me to let me know he was proposing to Jackie, I was ecstatic. I captured the big moment of him asking, and of course, her saying “yes!”. And now I get to see their journey into marriage.
This downtown Phoenix engagement session has got to be one of my favorites. We captured gorgeous glowy sunset images on a rooftop, went by some of their favorite places and even did some more moody indoor shots that are not my usual style but were so fun to create. I had never been to the Phoenix Public Market before but it is one of their usual hangouts and a regular place for date nights. Well the photos there turned out as some of my favorites ever! Plus, I think we could all use a drink when being in front of the camera, right?!
Their wedding will be this spring and I couldn’t be more excited. For many reasons! Yes, I know it will be a beautiful day, but more than that. Seeing one of your friends go through so many different phases of life is a cool thing, but seeing them in love with someone who is so clearly a perfect match for them is even better. Jackie is such a kind woman and I know she and Shea are destined for a lifetime of happiness!
Now! Is it spring yet?!
