With a cocktail in hand, the sun shining down and amazing company surrounding me, this weekend retreat was amazing. I went to Palm Springs to document some of the key moments of the Bloom and Blueprint team retreat and ended up an honorary member of the #BBSquad.
I have worked with this team of talented ladies before on weddings like this one at Gainey Ranch and amazing shoots like this one at The Saguaro. As much as I love working with them in the wedding industry, vacationing with them is even better!! These girls are some of the most hard working and talented people I have met! They are also so kind, fun and welcoming. I truly cannot thank them enough for bringing me along on their Palm Springs retreat, I loved every minute and just adore this entire team. I cannot wait for our fall weddings together. Any couples I have reading this that haven’t yet booked a planner, coordinator, designer or florist.. get in touch with them!! I cannot recommend them enough!
Now, lets get into some of the key things we did on this retreat and places you may want to visit in Palm Springs.
We stayed at this adorable airbnb and it was fantastic. With colorful themed rooms, a perfect pool and view of the mountains, this couldn’t have been a better place! Turns out that the owners have a few rental properties in Palm Springs! I definitely plan on checking out their other ones. We had brunch catered from Cheekys and their cinnamon rolls are my new favorite. And that is coming from a frosting fanatic! After relaxing by the pool we had a delicious dinner at King’s Hideaway at the Ace Hotel and although dinner was delicious, my favorite part was bingo. It was hosted by 89 year old Shirley who was such a fun performer!! She definitely made for a memorable night.
Our second day was as Palm Springs as you can get. We dined like the Kardashians at Norma’s inside The Parker Hotel! (Apparently this is something the Kardashian crew does, I was unaware!) Following that we did a tour of Palm Springs hosted by Tours By Locals. We saw some Hollywood Houses and the famous colored doors. The B+B Team hosted an adorable themed BBQ dinner that night!
Again, I cannot thank the B+B Team enough for bringing me along. I had such an amazing time with you ladies and am so proud to work alongside you and to see your success! I’ll be sharing a free download of my tips for a traveling photographer next month! Be the first to get it by signing up for my newsletter here!
